Vacation over, time to start cutting

It’s been some time since I last posted here. Summer was hot (it still is actually), we welcomed a lot of guests and  did some travelling. But now vacation are over so it’s time to get back to workshop and start some cutting.

We (me and my Better Part) attended WorldCamp Europe and it was an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for next year’s meeting in Paris. Some friends visited us in our home and we also travelled a bit around Poland, had great fun at wedding party in Maidstone, UK and started refitting our appartment.

All in all, it was busy but great time. Now fall’s knocking at our door and I feel it’s time to get back to work on the guitar. Here are some plans then

  • in two or three days I’m gonna share with you a sketch of a planned headstock
  • I announced a post about the choice of wood (pine) so it’s gonna come up in a next few days after these plans
  • then I’m gonna start gluing the wood for a body

Body will be built out of four identical pieces of wood. There’ll be no separate top and no bindings around. I”m gonna take pictures (and hopefully some videos either) so keep an eye on the blog.

I hope to get body done by my birthday on Dec 20th and if I manage to, it’ll be the best birthday gift I ever gave myself. I’m really excited. Stay tuned 🙂
